Triumph importeur voor Benelux

Distribution Network Expands in Europe

Triumph Motorcycles are to open a new office near Amsterdam to meet demand for British-made motorcycles from the buoyant Benelux market. Tue Mantoni, Commercial Director of Triumph Motorcycles UK says: "During this year we have increased our sales in the Benelux countries by close to 20% and we expect that growth to increase further. Therefore, both Holland and Belgium are very important markets for Triumph and by gaining local presence, we will be a lot closer to both our dealers and the end-customers."
Edwin Belonje has been appointed as the General Manager of the Benelux subsidiary starting from November 24. Mr. Belonje, who has worked for Triumph Motorcycles Ltd as International Sales & Marketing Manager for Europe and Asia since 1997, has been in the motorcycle trade since 1989. Prior to his position at Triumph he was employed with Motorhuis Safe, the Safe Group and Greenib BV, the former Triumph distributor.
Full details of the new operation will be given to dealers at a meeting held to coincide with the MotoRAI Show in Amsterdam in late November (November 27-29). The new office brings the number of Triumph subsidiaries in Europe to five. The company already has established offices in Italy; France, which also looks after Switzerland; Germany, also covering Austria; and Sweden, which looks after the whole of Scandinavia. Triumph also has successful subsidiaries in the United States and in Japan. Triumph, who manufacture around 30,000 motorcycles a year, export bikes, parts, clothing and accessories to over 25 different countries, including those in Western Europe, North America and Australasia.
